After being away since 2022, returning for Spicemas in 2026 reminded us exactly why Grenada Carnival holds such a special place in our hearts. From Jab Jab’s raw freedom to the serenity of Grand Anse Beach and the full‑vibes of Parade Day – this year delivered!

De Good: A Taste of Grenada’s Soul
Our Spicemas journey began with one of our Signature Experiences — a privately catered dinner with Chef Elvis George (@elvis_chef) at our serene home base, La Luna (if you’re looking for accommodations, we would highly recommend).
On the menu?
Grenada’s national dish: Oil Down — earthy, rich, coconut‑creamy, and slow‑cooked with the kind of love and tradition you can taste.
Add good drinks, good vibes, and a table full of Carnivalistas ready to exhale, and you get the perfect welcome to Grenada Carnival.
This is the side of Spicemas most people never see: relaxation, deep connection, and culture served straight from the source.
De Bettah: Jab Jab J’ouvert — Road, Paint, Oil & Release
If you’ve ever wondered what makes Grenada Carnival different from every other Carnival in the Caribbean, the answer is simple: Jab Jab.
We hit the road with Carib J’ouvert, covered in paint and oil, surrounded by drums, horns, and pure ancestral energy. Jab Jab is messy, rebellious, expressive — and deeply rooted in Grenada’s history of resistance and liberation.
After de road, we took a boat over to Grand Anse Beach, one of the most famous beaches in the world, for the traditional wash‑off ritual. A moment of cleansing, grounding, and renewal with biodegradable cleaners (don’t come for us, ha!).
This is Grenada Carnival at its core: raw energy and freedom you can feel in your bones.
De Best: Carnival Tuesday Parade with Vibemas
Carnival Tuesday was pure vibes from start to finish.
We hit the road with Vibe Mas , who kept the pace and energy high all day — great music, great drinks, and a crowd that never lost steam. The Bam Bam Wall (a fun homage to St. Lucia’s Bum Bum Wall) was a hit and made for some unforgettable moments.
We even had a little “road meeting” (lol). Shoutout to the creators and entrepreneurs we saw on the road:
